The dark and bright side of Loto in Mauritius

The government took a new step by launching the National Lottery as well the new Loto game. This one is going to be much beneficial to the economy of the island and also the Mauritian population.

Even if you played Loto and you lost the game, still you lost nothing. Because 58% of the funds will go to the government. This means you are going to be the one who will benefit from it. The Prime Minister of Mauritius talked about it yesterday. He dreamed of the day when Mauritian students will get the opportunity of having 500 scholarships. He also talked on how this is going to help in the sports field and how great it would be if one day, there was a World Cup Team for Mauritius too. He also mentioned that for the moment no permission is being given for the operation of new gambling houses.

But after these positive point, we surely cannot deny the bitter truth on these gambling related games. Those below the age of 18 cannot play the Loto game. How far this will be applicable? This point is still debatable. And what about those who can become addicted to it. Or perhaps those who will play too much and lose all their money in it. Of course, this one is more like a game unlike the famous Lotterie Verte. And much advertising has been done to promote this game. But still, the public has been informed that they should play reasonably. And I guess the Brigade de Jeux or perhaps even the Brigade de Mineurs will be on patrol throughout the island.
