I was looking for some external hard disks on Amazon.com while I came across a multimedia one for $149.99. This means around Rs 5000 if you add some other expenses.
This seemingly is a very cheap and decent deal because the hard disk is 1 TB and you can easily plug it into your computer or even television!
It's name is Iomega ScreenPlay Plus HD Multimedia Player 1 TB - 34499.

But there are some cons out there because unfortunately this thing doesn't support all video format while being viewed on TV. But anyway it can still be used as a 1 TB external hard disk to store all kinds of files on a PC or laptop.
For the time being in Mauritius, you can buy a 500 GB external hard disk for Rs 5000 and the hard disk in Mauritius is not a multimedia one and you cannot connect it to your TV BTW!
